Balance Sessions

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing method developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century.

The word “Reiki” literally means “universal life energy” (Rei = universal, Ki = life energy).

In a Reiki session, the practitioner acts as a channel through which this universal energy is passed on to the recipient. This is done by gently placing the hands on or just above the recipient's body. The energy then flows to the places where the body needs it most, which can provide deep relaxation and thereby activate the body's self-healing capacity.

Upon arrival I will ask how you feel at that moment and ask if you have specific complaints or wishes where I can send extra energy during the treatment. Of course you can also keep this to yourself, trusting that the energy will flow to these points automatically. Then you can lie down on a soft treatment table with a pillow under your head, a bolster under your knees and possibly a blanket over you. You can close your eyes or keep them open. During a session you can experience a feeling of peace, warmth and energy.

Reiki is not just for physical complaints; it can also help release emotional blockages and promote inner peace. Whether you are looking for stress relief, emotional balance or a moment of deep relaxation, a Reiki session can help you feel connected to your inner strength again.
